Is the leadership tussle in the the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) over with the confirmation of Senator Ali Modu Sheriff as authentic chairman of the party by the Appeal Court in Port Harcourt on Friday?

A 3-man panel of the appellate court delivered the verdict on the leadership tussle rocking the party between Sheriff and former Governor of Kaduna State, Ahmed Makarffi. Both laying claim to the party chairmanship position.

Sheriff was removed from office after he cancelled a scheduled national convention in obedience to the ruling of Federal High Court in Lagos. This led the National Caretaker Committee of the party to appoint Ahmed Makarffi as the chairman with heralded the factionalization and leadership tussle of the party.
