WhatsApp Hits 1 Billion Daily Users Milestone

WhatsApp is cruising. The instant messaging app which can into existence in 2009 and acquired by Facebook for $19 billion in 2014 claims that it has touched the magical figure of 1 billion users per day.

“Just last year, we shared that one billion people around the world use WhatsApp every month. Today, we are excited and proud to share that one billion people around the world use WhatsApp every day to stay in touch with their family and friends,” said the company blog post.

Last year, the company announced that it had reached the landmark figure of 1 billion monthly active users, to hit the same mark in day is absolutely tremendous.  The Facebook-owned company further said that it is committed to deliver more features in future and making the app more reliable, simple and secure. WhatsApp also shared other statistics. The company has touched 1.3bn monthly active users and witnesses around 55 billion messages set by users every day. Furthermore, WhatsApp users share almost 4.5 billion images and 1 billion videos every day.
